Batik is a resist-dyeing technique of patterning cloth through application of wax. It is embedded in local traditions, with motifs linked to the philosophy and worldview of Indonesians for centuries. As an identity of Indonesian fashion, batik has been recognised as a UNESCO Intangible Heritage in 2009. 

The Workshop is a limited free-to-register event with tutorials on batik-making techniques, appreciation of the philosophy of batik, as well as showcasing of batik motifs to highlight the richness and diversity of the Indonesian archipelago.
